Students and Volunteers

At Grove House our experienced staff support students and volunteers to gain experience and learn new skills during placements with us. Please contact us  to find out more about arranging placement.

Students

We welcome students from a range of different educational establishments, including local colleges, universities and senior schools. We support students working towards teaching, nursery nursing, and other qualifications including social work and health and social care, as well as offering work experience placements for younger students. Each student is supported with their own personal classroom mentor, who helps them to get the most out of their time with us. We offer both short block placements and longer weekly placements, depending on the arrangements of the course.

Student placements are arranged by our Deputy Head, Helen Mayor. Please contact us for more information.

Volunteers

We welcome and encourage a wide range of volunteers here at Grove House, from people wanting to gain experience of working with children and families, to people wanting to get experience of office and administration work. Volunteering with us can be very rewarding, and a valuable source of experience. We work closely with all our volunteers to ensure they get the most out of their experience with us.

Volunteer placements are arranged by our Children's Centre Practitioner, Narinder Ghosal. Please contact us for more information.
